Pana Community Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Omar Abdulfattah, MD, a board-certified pulmonologist specializing in pulmonary disease, critical care, and sleep medicine.

 

Dr. Abdulfattah brings extensive training and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of respiratory conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung infections, emphysema, and sleep-related breathing disorders. His advanced fellowship training in pulmonary medicine, critical care, and sleep medicine allows him to provide comprehensive, specialized care close to home for patients in Pana and the surrounding communities.

 

Dr. Abdulfattah earned his medical degree from DOW Medical College before completing his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine. He went on to pursue additional fellowship training in Sleep Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. He is board certified in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.

 

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Abdulfattah serves as an Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where he is actively involved in teaching and mentoring future physicians.
