The original Huber Memorial Hospital, now Pana Community Hospital, was created as the dream of Dr. Jacob Huber, a physician in Pana for fifty years. Dr. Huber's last will and testament provided that $20,000 from his estate be used to build a modern hospital in the city of Pana, You too can make plans now to support your community hospital in the years to come. Each year in November, a special request is sent out to the Friends of Pana Community Hospital. During this special and giving time of year, we appeal to current and future supporters of the hospital to invest in their hospital’s future. Donations may be given in memory of or tribute to a loved one, may be restricted to a special area of the hospital or may be left unrestricted. The choice is yours! And as always, is tax deductible! The official kick-off for the annual year-end appeal starts the Friday after Thanksgiving.
The Pana Community Hospital Foundation often plans and hosts special fundraising efforts. Some are annual events, and some are held in conjunction with a special campaign and some are fun events to bring the community together. Every year, the Foundation hosts a Charity Golf Outing, the BIG Raffle, and the Christmas Memorial Angel Tree. Some other events that we’ve done in the past include a Spring Ball, Rock n Roll Dance, Summer Luau, Ball Drop and many others. Whatever the reason, your participation is always wanted and needed.
Employee Giving Campaign Since its implementation in 2013, the PCH Foundation has raised over $17,000 from our generous employees through the Employee Giving Campaign. Each March, the Foundation encourages hospital employees to become involved in the mission and be ambassadors of the tremendous resource the community has in Pana Community Hospital. Employees are treated to ice cream sundae bar where they can commit to the campaign and indulge in a treat provided by the Foundation.

Treasures of Our Hearts is a memorial and tribute program at the Pana Community Hospital Foundation that allows a unique and elegant way to demonstrate the depth of love, friendship professional respect or close family ties with another. Donations may be made to memorialize the death of loved one or as a tribute to honor a special milestone in someone’s life, such as a birth, birthday, anniversary, promotion, graduation and retirement.
