Pana Community Hospital is proud to announce a major upgrade in its radiology services beginning September 15, 2025, through a new partnership with ICCI (Imaging Consultants of Central Illinois). This enhancement is designed to provide patients with quicker diagnostic results, access to cutting-edge imaging technology, and the confidence of expert radiology interpretations—all close to home.

This change comes in response to a growing national challenge: a shortage of both radiologists and radiologic technologists, which has caused delays in imaging results across the country. Pana Community Hospital experienced a major shift in its radiology services as its previous radiologist group dissolved. While these challenges have impacted many hospitals nationwide, we are excited and very fortunate to be partnering with a strong, local radiologist group based out of Decatur, IL. ICCI brings a team of highly trained, board-certified radiologists who specialize in reading and interpreting a wide range of imaging studies.

“Having ICCI on board means our patients can expect accurate and timely imaging results, which translates directly to faster diagnosis and treatment,” said Amy Petray, Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Pana Community Hospital.

The local impact of these upgrades is significant. Community members can continue to receive advanced radiology services without the need to travel to larger hospitals or wait extended periods for results. Patients will have access to more accurate diagnostics, while physicians benefit from seamless communication and collaboration with ICCI radiologists.

Pana Community Hospital remains committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. This radiology services upgrade is another step toward ensuring that high-quality healthcare continues to be available right here at home.
