CMC's ExpressCARE offers healthcare services for those who do not have a primary care provider and offers services when other primary care providers’ offices may be closed. The entrance to CMC's ExpressCARE shares an entrance with Pana Community Hospital’s Emergency Department. All patients will be screened before entering the clinic and asked to wear a mask upon entering.
We accept all major insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid. Please check with your individual insurance provider to verify coverage.

Whitney Carruthers, FNPFamily Nurse Practitioner
Whitney Carruthers, a proud graduate of Ramsey High School, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from St. John's College of Nursing in 2014. She advanced her education at Maryville University, where she received her Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2019. Whitney has garnered valuable experience working at St. Mary's Hospital, where she contributed to the ICU and Float Pool, as well as in the field of home health care.
Whitney and her husband, Ryan Carruthers, reside in Herrick with their three children. Dedicated to her family and profession, Whitney brings a compassionate and comprehensive approach to patient care, drawing from her diverse background in critical and home health settings. |

Kevin Collins, FNPFamily Nurse Practitioner
Kevin, a graduate of Pana High School, began his nursing journey at Richland Community College, where he earned his RN degree. He furthered his education at Eastern Illinois University, obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Kevin then pursued advanced studies at Maryville University, where he earned his Family Nurse Practitioner Degree.
Demonstrating his commitment to leadership and excellence in nursing, he achieved a Doctorate Degree in Nursing Leadership from Capella University in 2013.
With a diverse background in skilled care, wound care, and mental health, Kevin brings a wealth of experience to his practice. Residing in Decatur, IL, he is a devoted father to four children: Kristoffer, Kayla, Maxwell, and Iris. In his free time, Kevin enjoys immersing himself in mysteries and thrillers and is an avid marathon runner. |
