Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner
Status: Non-exempt; Full Time
Hours: Day Shift
Salary Range: $26.30-$36.82 (Based on Experience)
Responsibilities:
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will assess patients' respiratory conditions by reviewing medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. This individual will respond to emergent and critical situations which may include assisting in airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Additional responsibilities will include pulmonary function testing, cardiac stress testing, holter monitor application, home sleep apnea test application, and outpatient test scheduling.
Requirements
Degree: Associate's degree or higher in respiratory therapy from an accredited program.
- Recent experience in pulmonary function testing is highly preferred
- A valid Illinois state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), such as the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Current CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications or willingness to obtain
