Quad County Welcomes Social Worker

December 21st, 2021

Quad County is pleased to announce the addition of Samantha Burton as Social Worker for Quad County Home Health and Hospice.  Samantha began her duties earlier this month.

Samantha received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Aurora University in May of 2019 and worked at Memorial Behavioral Health in Jacksonville.  In June of 2020, she worked for Dawson & Wykoff Funeral Home in Decatur as well as McCracken Dean Funeral Home in Pana.  In December 2021, Samantha will complete her Master of Social Work degree.

“We are excited to welcome Samantha to Quad County,” stated Tom Culberson, Director of Quad County.  “She has the experience and enthusiasm that will provide excellent care to our patients.”

Samantha is a native of Jacksonville, IL.  “To say that I am excited about my job is an understatement.  I truly believe based on my past professional experience that Quad County is where I am supposed to be, and I look forward to meeting more people as I dive deeper into this community,” stated Burton.  Samantha is married and has 8 pets!   When she isn’t playing with one of her pets, she loves to watch movies at home.

The Social Worker at Quad County is an integral  part of the team.  Samantha will be providing comprehensive counseling services as well as assistance for our home health and hospice patients to navigate services needed to optimize their health.  In addition to this, she will be overseeing the volunteer services and bereavement care services for the Quad County Hospice program.
