PCH Welcomes Urologist-Dr. Morgan

Pana Community Hospital is pleased to welcome Urologist Dr. Scott Morgan of Springfield Clinic to our selection of Specialty Clinic Providers.  Dr. Morgan will begin seeing patients in May.  Dr. Morgan has 22 years of experience providing general urology care and has a particular interest in treating kidney stones, helping patients with prosthetics and providing urogenital care.

“Dr. Morgan is an excellent addition to our surgical and specialty clinic physician staff.  The need for a local Urologist was in high demand in our community and we are grateful to bring Dr. Morgan aboard.  PCH is thankful patients have a local choice for Urology care,” stated President and CEO, Trina Casner.     

Dr. Morgan completed his medical school education at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, IL and his urology residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, OK, where he was also chief resident.  Dr. Morgan honed in on the urology specialty during medical school and quickly discovered it was the perfect fit for him with its mixture of surgical and clinic work.

“I have toured Pana Community Hospital’s surgical suites and I am excited to provide surgeries in this state of the art facility.  I love the ability to do shorter surgeries, where you identify a problem, treat it, and the patient’s better,” stated Dr. Morgan.  “It’s a great mix of speaking with patients, managing their chronic issues through medications, and treating their acute problems through surgery.”
