September 30th, 2021

Pana Community Hospital is pleased to welcome Dr. David Tapscott of Springfield Clinic to our Orthopedic Surgeon line up.  Dr. Tapscott is seeing patients in the hospital’s specialty clinic Suite 103 on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Friday of the month.  His interests include:  general orthopedics, shoulder surgery, arthroplasty and fracture care.

“Dr. Tapscott is an excellent addition to our surgical and specialty clinic physician staff.  PCH strives to bring the best services to our local communities so patients do not have to travel out of town for surgery,” stated President and CEO, Trina Casner.

Dr. Tapscott completed his fellowship at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and his residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL.  He earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine.

“Pana Community Hospital offers state-of-the-art facilities that are ideal for patients needing orthopedic care and surgery.  I knew I wanted to work with the PCH team when I joined Springfield Clinic and am excited to be seeing patients here,” stated Tapscott.  When Dr. Tapscott is not working he enjoys playing basketball, hunting, fishing and hiking.
