FastCare to Open in Late February

January 23rd, 2020

Pana Community Hospital’s new FastCare, offering convenient walk-in clinic services to Pana and the surrounding areas, is expected to be open in late February.  The highly anticipated service will be opening as soon as it is fully staffed and ready to see patients. What hospital officials need the public to realize is that the Emergency Department and FastCare have the same entrance, says Marketing Manager Melissa Rybolt.

“Upon entering, patients will be greeted by a receptionist, and can request to be seen in FastCare during its normal business hours,” says Rybolt. She says that in off hours, those seeking treatment will be served in the Emergency Department, or will need to wait until the FastCare or doctors’ offices open.

“This services was added to help us better serve the needs of our patients,” says Pana Community Hospital CEO Trina Casner.

And the Pana Community Hospital service has an advantage over other similar services in the area.  “The beauty about Pana Community Hospital’s FastCare service is that the Emergency Department is adjacent to it, and if the patient requires emergency care, then that department is right there” Rybolt explained.

Hours for the service, when it opens will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.to 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

The facility was part of the $20.4 dollar construction project at the hospital which was completed in December; the Illinois Department of Public Health gave its approval for the facility to open on January 13.
