Pana Elks Donate to Quad County Hospice “No Veteran Dies Alone” Program
Pana Elks Lodge #1261 received a $1,000 grant from the Illinois Elks Association. This grant was to be used for veterans in the local community. The Pana Elks decided to present the $1,000 to the Quad County Hospice “No Veteran Dies Alone” program.
Quad County Hospice recognizes patients who served our country whether at peace time or war. When a Veteran is admitted to the Hospice Program, they have the option for a Veteran Pinning Ceremony presented by fellow veterans, one-on-one visits with fellow vets, assistance with applying for VA benefits, and specialized care tailored to the needs of a veteran. Quad County Hospice is owned and operated by Pana Community Hospital, and has been serving Christian, Shelby, Montgomery, and Fayette counties since 1994.
